Metro Plus - The network is not widely accepted as is only accepted in the 5 boroughs.

THE BASICS
EPO’s = No referrals needed to visit specialists

EPO = National access to urgent care, free telemedicine
EPO Networks = Slim networks
EPO Customer Service = Very good
EPO Premiums = Middle of the road
HMO’s = Needs referrals to visit specialists
Affinity, Metro Plus, Fidelis, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield,
United Healthcare
HMO’s = Tend to lack customer service
HMO Networks have a broader choices of hospital systems than
EPO’s
HMO Customer Service = Tends to be lacking
HMO Premiums = Broad range, with the larger networks over
20% higher premiums than their EPO competitors
PPO’s = Plans that offer out of network coverage. Currently
there are no plans offering out of network coverage in the state
of New York to individuals or families.
Please note that when it comes to the HMO plans we only recommend and
cover the rates for their Standard plans which do not include co-insurance.
